Payments

Instructions for Bank Payment

If you choose bank transfer (our preferred payment method), the bank details will be shown after you place your order. Your order number (e.g., APEX#1001) will also be included in the order confirmation email.

Important: Do not use the confirmation number shown on the confirmation page (e.g., #ABCDEFG123) for your bank transfer — only use your order number.

When making the bank transfer, please use the following format:

  • Description: Your full name + product name

For merch, this is the name of the item you ordered
For memberships, this will simply be the name of the membership you’re paying for

  • Reference: Your order number (e.g., APEX#1001)

Note: Merch and memberships use the same payment methods.

What payment plans are available?

As of 16/09/2025, we currently only accept bank transfers.

We are working on adding more alternative payment options in the future, including card payments, Afterpay, PayPal, and more.

What happens if I pay late?

If payment is not received before the cut-off date for your order or membership, your order may not be processed or included in the next scheduled pickup.

For memberships, late payment could affect your eligibility to participate in training, pre-season, or competitions until your payment is confirmed.

We recommend paying on time to secure your merch, membership, or spot in training sessions.

What should I do if there’s a payment dispute?

If you notice a payment issue or discrepancy, please submit a payment dispute using the form at the bottom of this page. Make sure to highlight that you have a payment dispute so we can address it promptly.

Can I pay for multiple items or memberships at once?

Yes! You can pay for multiple orders in a single bank transfer. Just make sure to include each order number in the reference so we can match your payment to the correct orders.

What is Kids Sport and how do I apply?

KidSport is a program run by the WA Government that helps families with the cost of club sport. Eligible children can receive up to $300 per financial year to help cover club fees.

To apply, head to the official KidSport website: https://kidsport.dlgsc.wa.gov.au.

If you’re approved, simply forward your voucher to us, and we’ll apply it toward your Apex Volleyball Club fees.

Uniforms and Merch

What’s the difference between merch and uniforms?

Merch is available for everyone — players, family, and supporters. Uniforms are official playing gear and will only be available to Apex members once released.

Can I buy uniforms right now?

Not yet! At the moment, we are only selling merch. Uniforms will be added soon and will be accessible exclusively to Apex members.

How do I pick up my order?

Orders can be collected at the designated pick-up point during the scheduled time. During the off-season, this will most likely be Southern River College. Please note that pick-ups are not random — they are scheduled fortnightly. You’ll receive an email notification once your order is ready for collection, with all the details included.

What are the order cut-off times for pick-up?

Each scheduled pick-up has an order cut-off deadline. To collect your order at the next available pick-up, you’ll need to place it before the cut-off date and time. Orders placed after the cut-off will roll over to the following pick-up.

Can I add names to merchandise?

Yes! You can add names to selected merchandise, but this is treated as a custom order. Custom name orders are only available during specific order periods, which will be announced in advance.

If the name entry box is not visible on the product page, it means we are not currently taking name orders.

If you order merchandise without names, your order will be processed as normal and fulfilled from our existing inventory.

What is your return policy?

We do not accept returns once a package has been opened, unless the item is damaged. Please make sure to check your item at pick-up to confirm it’s in good condition before taking it home.

What if I ordered the wrong size?

Similar to our return policy, we cannot exchange sizes once an item has been opened or worn. To avoid any issues, please make sure you have selected the correct size at pick-up. We recommend checking the sizing chart on the product page before placing your order to ensure the best fit.

Memberships

How do I get a VWA membership?

  • Ensure your membership is active before participating in any VWA-related activities, including grading days and matches.
  • Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferable.

What’s the difference between club fees, match fees, and VWA membership?

Club Fees: These are paid directly to Apex Volleyball Club. Club fees cover things like training costs, equipment, coaching, and administration.

Match Fees: These are paid to cover the cost of participating in individual matches or competitions. Match fees help cover referees, venue hire, and other match-day expenses.

VWA Membership: This is paid to Volleyball WA (the governing body) and is required for participation in official leagues and competitions. Membership includes insurance, access to competitions, and other VWA programs.

Where can I buy the club membership?

Chosen players will exclusively receive an email with the membership they’ve been selected for. The email will include a link back to the website where they can complete the payment.

How much am I expected to pay for a season?

Previous seasons had club fees of $300 and match fees of $350. These amounts may increase or stay the same depending on factors like court availability, the number of training sessions per week, and any changes to fees by Volleyball WA (VWA).

Pre-Season

When does Apex Pre-Season start and how do the trials work?

Pre-season for WAVL (seniors) runs from October 20 to December 8, 2025, and you can sign up through the sign-up page on our website.

At Apex, we do trials differently. Instead of just a two-day assessment, we believe it takes more time to properly evaluate your skills and find the right division for you. That’s why the entire pre-season doubles as our trials.

During pre-season, selected participants will be offered a squad position. If chosen, you’ll receive an official offer email along with an invoice for pre-season fees.

Note: As of 16/09/2025, training times for different squads are yet to be confirmed.

Where can I sign up for Apex?

At this stage, signing up is done through the website as a trial. It can be accessed through the "Play with Apex" tab at the top of the page. Please note, changes may occur in the future, which could require alternate sign-up options — in that case, website sign-up may be taken down.

Do current Apex members get priority for tryouts?

Yes! Current Apex members are given priority when signing up for tryouts and pre-season. This ensures returning players have the opportunity to secure their spot on a team before new players are considered.

How does Pre-Season work for Juniors (WAVJL)?

As of 16/09/2025, pre-season sessions for WAVJL (juniors) will run like regular training rather than trials. Juniors will still need to attend a formal trial closer to the start of the WAVJL season, where final team selections will take place.

General Information

Who’s the GOAT that made this website?

That would be Ezekiel, the holder of two gold medals in a row — clearly, talent isn’t just on the court!

How do divisions work?

WAVJL (Juniors): Divisions are based on year groups, from Year 7 to Year 12. Apex participates in all year levels for both male and female juniors.

WAVL (Seniors): Divisions are based on skill level. Currently, Apex competes in:

  • Women: State League, State League Reserve, Div 1, Div 1 Reserve, Div 2, and Div 3
  • Men: State League Reserve, Div 1, Div 2, and Div 3

Division placements are subject to change depending on:

  • Current skill level of the club
  • Availability of training courts
  • Demand for coaches and players

To maintain quality training and development, team numbers are limited, so selection is carefully managed and competitive.

Where does Apex train and play?

Apex uses multiple courts for training and matches. Current locations include:

  • Harrisdale Senior High School (main court)
  • Southern River College (home court)
  • Lumen Christi College

Training times:

  • Juniors (WAVJL): Generally 4:30–6:00 PM during the week
  • Seniors (WAVL): Typically 6:00–8:00 PM and 8:00–10:00 PM during the week

Court locations and times are subject to change during the season due to availability. Additional locations may also be added depending on contracts and opportunities.

How many trainings does Apex have per week?

Training frequency depends on court availability. Typically, teams train 1–2 times per week, usually between Tuesday and Friday. Exact days and times are subject to change and will be confirmed closer to the start of the season.

How does Apex decide team placements?

At Apex, we carefully manage how many teams are in each division to ensure all players get consistent, quality training. Because of this, the selection process is rigorous — we consider skill level, experience, and potential to ensure each team is balanced and every player can develop effectively.

Does Apex have social volleyball?

We’re currently in the process of setting up social volleyball sessions for Apex! Details such as times, locations, and how to join are still being finalised, but it’s something to get excited about.

Stay tuned to the website and newsletters — we’ll announce all the info once it’s ready!

What is the minimum age to play?

  • WAVJL (Juniors): Players must be Year 7 or older to participate in the junior league.
  • WAVL (Seniors): There is no strict minimum age, but players are placed in divisions based on skill and suitability.

This ensures all players are competing safely and at an appropriate level for their development.

Horizon Volleyball Club

What is Horizon Volleyball Club?

Horizon Volleyball Club is the sister club of Apex. It was created to allow more teams in the same divisions while maintaining the same training standards, coaching, and playing philosophy as Apex.

Why was Horizon Volleyball Club created?

Horizon was formed so that more players could compete at the right level without compromising training quality. It gives us the flexibility to expand teams while keeping high standards for coaching and player development.

Do Horizon players train differently from Apex players?

No. Horizon players train and play under the same standards as Apex. Training sessions, coaching methods, and club expectations are consistent across both clubs.

Can I switch between Apex and Horizon teams?

Once team selection is completed, moving between Apex and Horizon teams is not allowed during the season. Players are considered to be representing two clubs at the same time, which is against competition rules.

How do I join Horizon Volleyball Club?

All players go through the same pre-season trials. After trials, the club will decide whether you are selected for Apex or Horizon.

Selected players will receive an email with their team placement, and the payment process will follow the same method used for Apex players.
